God’s church exists to be disciples and make disciples. That is why we are committed to living out the four disciplines of an abiding Christian:
- Prayer – “praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.” (Ephesians 6:18a)
- Bible Study – “ ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ” (Matthew 4:4)
- Fellowship – “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”” (John 13:35)
- Witnessing – “you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”” (Acts 1:8b)
As Pastor my focus is on two basic things: 1) personally practicing the four disciplines and 2) equipping God’s people to do the same. My goal is for each and every member of our church to become and expert practitioner of the four disciplines. In this way we can walk in the abundant life that God has prepared for each of us.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)
If there is anything that I or our church can do to help you please let me know.
Peace and hope,
